Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Barot

Welcome to Barot, a village originally developed in the 1920s for the Shanan Hydel project. Surrounded by the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas which brings out the most scenic view and an ever-changing climate.

Today's Highlights:

  • In the evening, arrive at wild highs and meet a waiting representative who'll escort you to your appointed tent after completing all the formalities.

  • Unwind with a cup of tea/coffee and soak in the beauty of Barot valley.

  • Spend the evening in peaceful environs playing board games as its great for reducing stress and makes for laughter.

Day 2: Trek to LAPPAS Waterfall and local Gharat (grindstone)

The valley is filled with secrets and today you get to be its closest confidant.

Today's Highlights:

  • After a yummy breakfast, hike to the base of Lappas waterfall, one of the most spectacular sights of Barot Valley.
  • Explore a 100yrs old Gharat (grindstone) used for grinding wheat, rice and extracting oil by the kinetic energy of enthusiastic water.
  • Enjoy the trout fish sourced from a local breeding farm by the bonfire followed by a dinner,  a perfect way to relax after an intense day of trekking.
  • Indulge in a soulful music night as music makes everything better, doesn’t it? Share some laughs and revisit the best moments of the trip followed by a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: A free day in Barot + Optional bike tour to local market and a reservoir

Barot may be a small hill station, but it makes up for it in spirit. Today is full of highs and lows…physically of course.

Today's Highlights:

  • After a flavourful breakfast, take the morning to relax and escape in a good book, coffee and allow nature to nurture you.
  • If you need a little adventure before you call the day off, join us for a bike tour to work those glutes :D

Sunset view bike tour (extra cost) - This tour includes biking along the hillside, local market of Barot where you can delve into local culture. We will point out the best photo stops and vista points while sharing entertaining and educational information with you. We will end the tour at a reservoir that runs along the river UHL , where you can relax and have a chance to see the beautiful sunset view of Chuhar valley before heading back to the camps. 

Designed for all skill levels, this cycle tour is an easy and fun way to get closer to Nature.

Day 4: Bid farewell to Wildhighs

Wake up and smell that fresh air, you won't get anything like that back home!

Today's Highlights:

  • Before you head back, make sure to take one more picture with your loved ones and fill in your stomach with that final breakfast.
  • And this isn’t goodbye as you can always come back again for another trip with your gang Or family. If you’re feeling adventurous, we can find a couple of ways to keep you in action.
  • Remember while returning you have to purchase yellow and red rajmah (Kidney beans) they are the best quality!
